Profhilo is the ultimate skin pick-me-up and perfect for anyone looking for skin that looks smooth, firm and generally younger. A skin laxity treatment, Profhilo uses patented technologies engineered for ‘skin remodelling’, a revolutionary concept of curing wrinkles rather than filling them. It effectively stimulates production of both your natural collagen and elastin to renew your skin from within.

Also known as; non-surgical face lift, liquid face lift or injectable skin lift.

Your Aesthetics Practitioner will first discuss your requirements and explain the process thoroughly. Upon beginning the treatment we apply an anaesthetic cream to numb the area, ensuring the procedure is comfortable.

The Profhilo gel will then be injected through various points. The gel contains a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and stimulates the production of new collagen in the skin by slowly releasing the Hyaluronic Acid (HA).

What is profhilo?

Profhilo is one of the latest innovations to treat skin laxity, by remodelling the skin from within.

It is a patented gel that contains a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Profhilo does not simply replace the loss of volume like dermal fillers, this gel stimulates the production of new collagen and slowly releases the Hyaluronic Acid (HA) overtime. Benefits to your skin;

• Hydrated and fresh

• Brightness

• Smoothness

• Firmness

• Softens fine lines

• Younger looking skin

It is particularly efficient on mature women or men whos skin is losing its elasticity and firmness with age.

How many sessions are required?

For best results we recommend a total of 2 sessions. The initial treatment and a further treatment one month after the first treatment.

What areas can profhilo be performed on?

Profhilo can be used to treat skin laxity and skin quality almost anywhere, below are the areas Heart Aesthetics can treat;

• Any section on the face; forehead, cheeks, chin
• Neck
• Hands

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic will be applied to numb the treatment area to ensure the procedure is comfortable, you’ll feel a little prick and slight pressure.

Unlike most dermal fillers, Profhilo gel does not contain Lidocaine as it is not required.

Are there any side effects?

As with all non-surgical aesthetic treatments there is a risk of side-effects, such as minor bruising or swelling at the injection sites. These do not usually occur and generally subside quickly when they do.

What is the gel made from?

Profhilo is not a dermal filler, it is a gel that contains a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) that repairs the skin from within. Exceptionally pure because its unique and patented manufacturing process does not involve the use of chemical cross-linking agents to bind the chains.

The gel is made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is naturally present in our skin, it is temporary and is possible to dissolve should there be any problems. It has the ability to hold up to 1,000 times its own weight in water and has many functions, including giving the skin elasticity and volume, keeping it smooth, supple and hydrated whilst creating youthful firmer-looking skin.

Can the gel be removed?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the ingredient that the gel is made of, is a liquid gel-like substance which is temporary, naturally present in our skin and is a great product for injectables. The beauty of a temporary filler or gel is that if required or necessary it can be dissolved by Hyaluronidase, a compound which breaks down Hyaluronic Acid (HA).

How quickly will I see the results?

The treated areas will be a little swollen at first, but you’ll see the effects of the treatment immediately, you will need around three to seven days for your face to fully settle.

Profhilo is a treatment that works by increasing the production of collagen beneath your skin, therefore the true results develop over time as the Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is released and begins to repair, this happens over a period of 3 – 5 days.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa Debit, Visa Credit and most other forms of card providers.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

The Profhilo gel, made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a water holding molecule. For the best results it is beneficial to be well hydrated prior to the treatment.

7 Days Prior: If you are taking any blood thinning medication then ideally these should be stopped several days before the procedure, only with your doctors consent. Thinner blood will make the area more prone to bruising and bleeding.

3 Days Prior: Avoid any aggressive facial treatments, such as AHA peels. These activities increase blood flow to your face, which can only add to the swelling.

2 Days Prior: If you suffer with cold sores, it is possible that the procedure could trigger an outbreak. Therefore it is advised to take antiviral treatments around two days leading up to and after the procedure.

24 Hours Prior: Avoid alcohol before your treatment, alcohol in your system heightens the chance of swelling and bruising.
