POLYNUCLEOTIDE

REPAIR, STRENGTHEN & REJUVENATE
YOUR SKIN WITH ADVANCED
SKIN-REGENERATING PROPERTIES

Polynucleotides are an advanced injectable skin treatment designed to repair and regenerate the skin from within, making them ideal for clients looking to improve skin quality without adding volume. Particularly effective in delicate areas such as the under-eyes, face, neck and hands, polynucleotides work at a cellular level to strengthen the skin structure.

By supporting hydration, elasticity and natural repair processes, polynucleotides help create smoother, firmer and healthier-looking skin over time. This innovative treatment focuses on skin regeneration rather than filling, delivering subtle yet powerful rejuvenation for tired, thinning or ageing skin.

THE PROCEDURE

Also known as: injectable skin regeneration or skin repair injectable.

Your Aesthetics Practitioner will first discuss your concerns and desired outcomes, ensuring polynucleotides are the most suitable treatment for your skin. The procedure will be explained fully before treatment begins.

Polynucleotides work by supporting the skin’s natural repair and regeneration processes at a cellular level. Rather than adding volume, this treatment focuses on improving skin quality, hydration, elasticity and overall skin health over time.

The treatment area is cleansed and, where appropriate, a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure comfort. Polynucleotides are then injected into the skin using fine needles at carefully selected points, depending on the area being treated.

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments used in aesthetic medicine to improve skin quality by supporting regeneration and repair at a cellular level. They help strengthen the skin structure, improve hydration and enhance elasticity without adding volume.

How many sessions are required?

A course of 2–3 treatments is usually recommended for optimal results, spaced approximately 2–4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments may be advised every 6–9 months, depending on individual skin concerns.

What areas can polynucleotides be performed on?

Polynucleotides can be used on several areas, including:

  • Under-eyes
  • Face
  • Neck
  • Décolletage
  • Hands

They are particularly popular for delicate or thinning skin where skin quality is the primary concern.

Does it hurt?

Most clients find the treatment very manageable. A topical numbing cream can be used where needed to minimise discomfort, especially in sensitive areas such as under the eyes.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are usually mild and temporary. These may include redness, small bumps at injection sites, swelling or bruising. These effects typically resolve within a few days.

What is the product made from?

Polynucleotides are derived from highly purified DNA fragments, commonly sourced from salmon or trout DNA, and are biocompatible with the human body.

Can the product be removed?

Polynucleotides cannot be dissolved like dermal fillers. However, as they do not add volume, the results fade naturally over time as the skin continues its normal renewal cycle.

How quickly will I see the results?

Results develop gradually. Most clients begin to notice improvements in skin quality within 2–4 weeks, with optimal results continuing to develop over 6–12 weeks following treatment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept card payments and other payment methods available at the clinic. Please contact us if you have any specific payment queries prior to your appointment.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Avoid alcohol, blood-thinning medications and supplements (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours before treatment, unless prescribed by your GP. Please arrive with clean skin and inform your practitioner of any medical conditions or medications during your consultation.
